1. Who we are
RevXpress LTD (company number 17053053), 16 Waters Road, Kingston Upon Thames, KT1 3LP, is the controller of your personal data. Contact us about your data at info@revxpress.co.uk or on 020 3819 6799.
2. What we collect
- Customers: your name, phone number, email address and messages you send us (including on WhatsApp).
- The vehicle and inspection: make, model, registration, the vehicle’s location, the seller’s name and contact details you give us, and the inspection report with photos and video.
- Payments: handled by Square. We see confirmation of payment but do not store your card details.
- What you agree to when booking: the date and time you accepted our terms, and your confirmations (for example, that you want the inspection within the 14-day cancellation period).
- Report delivery: when you open your report online or confirm you have received it, we record the date and time, your IP address, your device and browser type, and the name you type, as proof the report was delivered.
- Vehicle look-ups: we use the registration to get vehicle details and MOT history from the DVLA and DVSA, and the postcode to look up addresses. If you book a vehicle history check, we send the registration (and VIN, where we have it) to a history check provider. The result shows the number of previous keepers, not who they were.
- Website use: pages visited and anonymous booking-form statistics (see section 7).
Sellers. If you are selling a vehicle we inspect, we receive your name, contact details and the vehicle’s location from our customer, so we can arrange the inspection. Photos and video may show your property or the area around the vehicle. We try to avoid capturing people and anything not needed for the report.

4. Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business and act on our instructions:

5. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our providers, such as Meta, Cloudflare and Telegram, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK–US data bridge or the International Data Transfer Agreement.
6. How long we keep it
- Booking, payment and invoice records: 6 years, for tax and accounting.
- Inspection reports, photos, videos and records of report delivery: 6 years after the inspection, in case of questions, complaints or claims.
- Enquiries that do not lead to a booking: 12 months.
- Anonymous booking-form statistics: 13 months.
7. Cookies and analytics
We measure visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or store anything on your device. When you use our booking form, we record anonymously which steps are reached, the page you came from and the type of device. This does not include your name, contact details, vehicle registration or IP address. (The report-delivery records in section 2 are separate: they are only made when you open your own report.)
8. Keeping your data safe
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including access controls and secure, reputable service providers. If a data breach is likely to put your rights at risk, we will report it to the ICO and, where required, tell you.
